The search is on for a man who robbed a woman after both got off a bus in Tamarac on New Year’s Eve, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said. 

Police said the woman exited the county bus in the 6100 block of North University Drive just after midnight Dec. 31. 

The woman was walking west on a sidewalk behind an IHOP restaurant when a man pushed her from behind, causing her to fall to the ground, police said. 

BSO said the man stole the woman’s purse and her computer tablet and ran away. 

The man is about 180 pounds and 5 feet 8 inches tall. In a surveillance video released Thursday by police, the man wore a polo shirt with red and beige horizontal stripes and blue jeans, police said.
